Favorite surf break: Canoes and Queen's because of my memories of surfing there with my friends in high school, and Kaaawa Point because not too many people go there

Favorite story of Duke Kahanamoku: I love looking at all the old pictures of him surfing in Waikiki with Diamond Head in the background.

Up-and-coming surfer you particularly like:  I really admire Tony and Tammy Moniz and the positive influence they have on the younger generation and surfing.

Advice for beginning surfers? Don't give up. In the beginning it can get frustrating, especially when you see everyone around you catching waves with ease.

Is it ever too late to learn? It's never too late! I think anyone who enjoys being in the water should try it.
